Foods 2 is the second course offered in the progression of culinary courses offered at West. This course is designed as an introductory course to world cuisine. Units of study include Asian, Italian, Mexican and German.
At the end of each unit, a home lab is to be completed. A home lab is a requirement and is worth 100 points. Students will need to make one item from scratch that is from the unit. Students may use recipes from class, but it is not required. Students who make a meal from the unit will be given extra credit points.
Students with an excused absence may make-up labs by getting the recipe from class and using the Make-up Lab form to complete the missing lab. It is required that students use the recipe from class when making up work. Please contact the teacher with any questions or concerns regarding this policy.
